Most sheds have your normal entrance mechanisms, say a bolt and maybe a run of the mill handle, what do you have?

But with the recent spate (as it seems to happen this time of year), many shed are getting broken into, so I think its wise to raise the matter of shed securtiy, we have covered this in basics on the shed talk forum in the past.

But what the police always say tends to be correct!

Police are urging people to not leave garage or shed doors unlocked.

A police spokesman said: "Fit shed and garage doors with a strong padlock and make sure that they are solid enough not to be kicked in.

"Lock ladders inside the garage or shed to stop a thief using them to reach inaccessible windows. If there is no room inside, chain or padlock them horizontally."


So please keep that shed secure.
