Beer of the week : St. Druon de Sebourg

Been to Paris for the Weekend to watch the France (mighty Les bleus) play Wales (the mini reds), well we all know the score, but we had a great time and the food, company were top notch, the drink was not great (but a rugby tour is not about drinking quality its about quantity, which surprisingly the amount was not as much as I feared!!), in between the French Kronenberg and Dutch Amstel, a few gems were taken.

The most memorable being St. Druon de Sebourg, its is the French version of a blonde abbey ale, similar in style to those found across the border in Belgium, it had a mid range alcohol content of 6%, which was a bit strong for some, so its not a session beer, it was nice and sweet and hit the spot, but after 2, it got you in the mood for a nice bottle of red.
